The world is connected by a web of trade, investment, and relationships that are in constant flux. 2026 is a year marked with events that highlight both our interconnection and division as people and as nations. This piece started an outline of the North American continent. I layered other land masses, maps of city street grids and ports, and maritime and land shipping routes over and around North America to create a network of fragmented and abstracted topographies.
