Having moved to the downtown Eastside of Vancouver, I have become fascinated with the way our civilization has developed in Vancouver. Old buildings and churches overlaid with graffiti. Where my grandparents walked in suits and sequins our desperate split from Spirit invites a different population. Nature has been reduced to a chained dog. Where are we going next?

Bordering between expressionism and realism Copeman's work is also reflective of what is revealed in her dreams. Her work tends to be intuitive rather than conceptual.
