In the mountains of Alberta, a well-known hotel has a history of a ghostly visitor. This is an invitation to make a story! I decided to paint this woman on one of the hotel's couches and insert a woman from the time period that the hotel was built. I wanted to make it seem that the two women (who look like they could be related) were having a tense conversation... of course, at night, as that is spookier! I wanted their hands over their chest to symbolize an important message between them. I imagine the ghostly image to be a protective relative to the young woman on the couch! The purpose of this painting is to make the viewer imagine the storyline for themselves!
