About the Artwork
In painting ‘Wild Undercurrents’ I set out to explore the freedom of working on a large canvas, of moving my whole body to make sweeping, fluid brush strokes and using new tools to create unexpected marks. In risking being more spontaneous, the colour and feeling in the painting allowed for something unplanned to emerge. Hopefully the viewer will be drawn in and have their own spontaneous response.
