Forest Rituals explores the meeting point between nature, imagination, and human intention. The forest becomes more than a landscape. It becomes a place where actions, symbols, and patterns take on meaning.
The figures move through an imagined environment where the natural and the constructed exist together. Their presence suggests ceremony, repetition, and the human desire to influence the world around us. Rituals give shape to our surroundings. We mark places, gather materials, build structures, make offerings, and create meaning through repeated acts.
At the same time, the forest follows its own rhythms. Growth, decay, weather, movement, and transformation continue beyond our control.
The painting sits within this tension between what is wild and what is deliberately created. It asks where one ends and the other begins, and whether our rituals are attempts to connect with nature, understand it, or impose our own meaning upon it.
The landscape becomes a space of possibility, where familiar forms shift into something imagined, symbolic, and slightly strange.
