The Orca marble comes from a quarry near Barkley Sound, Vancouver Island. It is a very distinct pattern of white and black marble. The shark is a California species and as a kelp forest dweller it has very sinewy movements compared to other shark species. The Jasper mount is a rough nodule only finished to act as a base for the shark.
