About the Artwork

Grazing animals, Cattle, Buffalo, Antelope and Horses, move on and grass quickly recovers. The plow, preparing land for agriculture, rips up the critical soil layer under grass, which is then unable to come back. Only 15-20% of Canada's native grassland remains. The painting is of a patch of land in northern Montana where the terrain is not suitable for plowing and planting..[like, wheat ] DO NOT plow any more grassland.
