Mediatrix is the woman between worlds, channelling the earth energy into reality. It is a metaphor for taking clay(earth) dust and recreating it into form again. It is a metaphor for taking the Earth's guidance into our being. The technical challenge of this piece was building the body position hollow -- discovering the engineering involved in raising the haunches without collapsing the clay.
