About the Artwork
In Between, the body of work I am working on explores the interplay of absence and presence in the layers of memory.
The fused boy and the dog in this painting live in a liminal space becoming vectors to an ebb and flow of thoughts and impressions lodged in the strata of memory. The paint applied in textured layers is in synergy with the theme, guiding the viewer to its own narrative.
