Bound by Air is an extension of my artistic practise that relies heavily on surrendering to the process. This piece emerged through an intuitive dialogue with material — forms were shaped without a fixed destination, guided only by an impulse to follow the muse. Glazes, layered freely and unpredictably, reacted in the kiln beyond artistic control, producing surfaces that shimmer, crack, and evolve. The assemblage of fragmented shapes, loosely tethered by wire and sinew suggests a tenuous and ancient architecture, suspended between balance and collapse. In relinquishing certainty, Bound by Air invites the viewer to inhabit the space between intention and accident, to witness the slow, tangled birth of form from fragmentation.
