About the Artwork
This drawing is autobiographical, referencing years of my life I spent studying peat-accumulating wetlands (bog and fens). The plants that make up the figure's hair – sphagnum moss, cotton grass, sundew, leatherleaf and sedges – are all common peatland plants.
