I have developed the concept behind the “Motherboard Project” in 2011, drawing inspiration from Abstract Expressionism and Art Informel. The paintings resulting from this project arise from my inquiry into the interaction between two canvases—the question of how this exchange alters one and leads to the formation of the other. The original painted image (the "motherboard") is influenced by the act of laying other canvases ("takes") on top of it, such as through the removal of paint and smearing. Concurrently, this process leaves traces of paint on the "takes," which then serve as the starting point for new works. These subsequent pieces do not merely remain as remnants of the original; instead, they acquire autonomous status as they are further explored and their individual character revealed. The works investigate the tension between external definition and independent development. At the core of the **Motherboard Project** lies a broader inquiry into the relationship between spontaneity and the development of structure within an interactive process
