I painted “Contrasts” thinking of that word and how our lives can turn from depths to flight in just a moment of time.
My techniques included not only textural strokes using a palette knife and brush, but to also include pieces of canvas as collage. The feeling became one of a lifting up in a different dimension. The light is in the clouds, but also light hits the edges of the added collage pieces. The edges of the canvas are a continuation of the landscape. The neutral colours of this artwork is an exclamation mark in any setting.

In my artwork, I aim to convey the magic of the seasons that invites exploration and reflection. The interplay of light and shadow creates a dance that draws the viewer in, evoking a sense of peace and wonder.
