About the Artwork
In “Lift” I have tried to play with the counter points of the heavy solid oak wood and the tentative moment of weightlessness just before lifting off, conveying hope, persistence and strength.
Lift is a stylized interpretation of a bald eagle.
The completed sculpture was made from a single oak log section.
