These Canadian Geese found a little pond situated between Burnaby Art Gallery and Shadbolt Art Centre in the Deer Lake area, Burnaby. It was as if Mother Nature decided to arrange an artistic composition of flora and fauna offering yet another work of art.
Canadian geese love bodies of water which offer them safe refuge from predators. They can sleep on water and forage for food, including grazing on grass by the water’s edge. They cool and preen in water which is important for waterproofing and flight. How sweet it is that they mate for life.
