An afternoon crossing the False Creek
C$1,600
This painting of the False Creek in Vancouver brings back memories of scenic city views and Vancouver’s coastal beauty. The creek runs right through the city making the crossing a memorable one. Each day many commuters getting to work, school or other activities sail away using the False Creek Ferry to head in and out of downtown. Many tourists alike also catch a ride on the ferry to visit its various points on the creek while soaking in Vancouver’s stunning architecture and cityscape views on both sides.
Vancouver is also a city with many bridges. Here we have the iconic Burrard Bridge, a four-lane, Art Deco style, steel truss bridge constructed in 1930–1932. It connects downtown with Kitsilano and South Granville. It offers another route into downtown Vancouver making it yet another memorable experience crossing over the False Creek. Being right near the water, the False Creek balances the hustle and bustle of an ever growing city while offering picturesque waterfronts that offer relaxation and points of solitude right in the heart of the city.
