About the Artwork

"Echoes - Wildebeest" is one of the first pieces that I created under my Echoes series. These are meant to reflect the feel we get from ancient cave paintings. Today, the cave paintings we find have representation of wildlife that was common in the days when the art was created but that are extinct now (sabre tooth cat, mammoth...). By creating my own "cave paintings" I hope to raise awareness for conservation of our beautiful wildlife so that, some days in the distant future, the animals that I paint will not be extinct.

I think viewers are most interested in my art because they can recognize the familiar or be transported into the unknown but what each and everyone comes out with is a journey into a scene with movement, emotions and peace.
