About the Artwork

The title "Sentinel" encapsulates the sculpture's purpose in evoking a timeless presence that watches over and nurtures the human spirit, reminding us of our responsibility to be stewards of the Earth and cherish the interconnectedness of all existence. The sculpture's depiction of a child with the body reflecting the Earth's forces suggests a connection to the natural world and its inherent wisdom. It symbolizes the Earth as a sentinel, observing and safeguarding the well-being of the soul and the delicate balance of life. This Sentinel is reflective and stoic, suggesting the serious nature of it's contemplations.
