About the Artwork

Point Atkinson was founded in 1792 by Captain George Vancouver but had its name changed to Lighthouse Park at a later date. I have been coming to see this park for over 40 years. There is a lot to see and, of course, a lot of ideas for future paintings. It is a rugged park in many areas due to the steep terrain and deep waters but that lends itself well to creating art.
