This charming little buttercream-yellow farmhouse, built at least 110 years ago, has been home to a couple of families over the years: horses tended, cows milked and children raised in rural beauty and simplicity. Today it is owned and enjoyed by dear friends who honour it's history by caring for it's upkeep, and by sharing the joy of country life with family and friends. I painted this last spring, standing in the warm breeze looking down towards the kitchen door, past the laundry line, the tool sheds and the pretty yellow daffodils.
