Frosty Old Panes reminds me of times when I have been out trudging through a snowy trail only to come across an old abandoned building. Frost and age hinders the once clear view.
Much in the way of collage, I began this piece with the application of a lot of shredded paper, thus creating a directional flow while planning. This created a fantastic texture. The geometric circles and squarish divisions I find pleasing and eye catching. Using shredded paper is perhaps a twist of the challenge to work with different types of paper.

Jennifer Caie, AFCA
Dryden, Ontario
The Canadian wild places are Jennifer Caie's subjects in painting. Her artwork is created as a direct result of time spent in Dryden, Ontario's wilderness. She also finds a deep connection while hiking the Canadian coastal regions. “Really anything that reveals the effect of wind on the land."
""On the water, or in the water”
This should be written on the transom over every one of our doors!
I do appreciate water in every form, whether frozen or fluid."
