This painting's inspiration came from an actual sighting of the Barred Owl as all my painting derive. The moment I saw him, I knew I wanted to capture my feelings of this moment on canvas to share with the world! What a lovely setting they chose to call home in amongst the pines. Using many techniques and excepting the challenge of this painting has been one of the best things I've ever done as an artist. A wonderful collector saw it's worth and has included it in their collection of originals from my Algonquin Collection. I feel it deserving to include here in this chapter challenge.
