A pair of halibut fishing schooners outward bound off the rocky shore of Sheringham Point, along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. This was a familiar sight as these vessels set off for the fishing grounds in the North Pacific and Bering Sea, during the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.
