Not For Sale
Late March, the weather is very unpredictable for tapping syrup. This painting was inspired from a photo taken of my son's maple syrup collection. Since rice paper does not hold the watercolour pigments, alternate layers of melted wax was applied. Eventually all the wax is removed and final details can be applied. The paper is then sandwiched between two panes of glass and framed.
