The quiet energy and beautiful everchanging sunsets of the west coast are depicted in this composition and a tonal muted palette. I work with acrylic metallic inks and paints and oil paint in an attempt to simulate the reflections of light and wave action on water and the translucency of the west coast atmosphere. I have developed a personalized style that translates and interprets nature both through high-textured and saturated layers of transparent glazes. My art is a transformative interpretation rather than a literal rendering with the intention of eliciting the viewer’s emotional response inspiring self-discovery and peace.
