About the Artwork

When folks ask me "whats your favourite hike?" I tend to say Chester Lake. Everytime I paint this subject, I'm overwhelmed by 10 years of visiting the serene alpine meadows and crystal clear waters of the lake. Nearby fossil beds in the shadow of Mount Chester stir my imagination. On a day with no wind, the lake becomes a mirror, reflecting the beauty of the natural landscape. I'm far from the highway and the silence is magnificent.
