This image is from my "becoming" series which depicts 12 and 13-year old girls in that transitional period between childhood and adolescence. While they can be self-centred and moody, or affectionate and delightful, I also discovered many "tweens" being competent and powerful. Nina was ambitious and wished to go far in her showjumping career.
