Time Stands Still
This is a drawing of my brother, and the title "Time Stands Still" represents how I feel when I'm making a hyperrealistic portrait. I am fascinated and troubled by the passage of time, and how the years go by in the blink of an eye. This portrait of my brother aims to capture my perception of a moment in time. It allows this moment to be immortalized and preserved within the charcoal and graphite on the paper. This moment will last forever, which brings me comfort and peace.
