Veiled Man No. 2
Not For Sale
This painting is mean to explore the veil. Veiling is an act done primarily by women for religious or ceremonial reasons. Though veils have been worn by men in some cultures, this is lesser known, and these individuals were sometimes persecuted by neighbouring groups who disdained the practice, considering it to be for females only. In this work I would like to encourage the viewer to consider the act of veiling, and of how it may change our perception of an individual not usually veiled.
