About the Artwork
“Imaginary Wars of a Solemn Man” is part of my "Tall Hat" series. The man's face is in repose, but we know that his mind is reeling with memories, inner doubts, and internal conflicts. His hat is exploding into flames. This metaphorical painting represents the human condition: We cannot always leave our past behind.
As an accessible exhibition, the Annual International Representational Exhibition opened up to online-only submissions this year.
The artist opted to exhibit this work online-only for your enjoyment.
