About the Artwork
Exhibited at the 200th Anniversary of the Cincinnati Museum of History celebrating John James Audubon featuring 100 of North Americas top wildlife artists.
This female wood duck normally pales in comparison to her showy male counterpart, but here… she plays amid a bold and swirling autumnal palette, creating a colourful pattern in her wake. Her subtle tones are highlighted and the contrast of the background brings attention to her unpretentious beauty and Mona Lisa smile.
