About the Artwork
This little painting is inspired by a road trip I took to Nova Scotia. As the sun crept up in the morning, bathing the tidal flats in warm, orange light, I noticed a tiny boat resting on the thick Fundy seafloor, waiting for the approaching tide. The scene struck me like a comment on the human condition - sometimes we are alone, stuck in the muck, but if we wait patiently and absorb the beauty in the world around, the tide will turn.
