About the Artwork
The wood for this artwork was salvaged from a derelict building in Port Alberni, BC. It is a ‘Wood Assemblage’, an abstract and suggestive composition made by assembling various-sized pieces of wood, which are cut, shaped, glued, stained, painted, sanded and waxed. The wood’s patina is preserved and polished or left distressed.
