Description:
As I settle into a position on a corporate ladder, I feel a great deal of achievement, success, and contentment; however, it also brings about an equally uncomfortable feeling of confinement and creative limitations. This piece relays the personal feelings of being trapped in an unending chase for success within a corporate setting, hence the suite with the pinstripes that draws parallels from a prison uniform. The yellow box symbolized both wealth which highlights ambitions, and a cage that forms a boundary around the person.

Process:
Use of a thick layer of gesso to mimic an impasto-esque texture. Composition lightly utilizes a human figure for scaling purposes.
