Once Upon a Time
A building forgotten by time. Part of a remote bible camp only accessible by boat or 4x4. Unused and forgotten for many years. The structures being reclaimed by nature. Most were little A frame cabins for the campers with one single house on stilts. The entire house was leaning so far over that it seemed destined to topple soon. Standing at the entrance I faced a 20 foot diameter hole in the floor. The remainder of the room covered in broken glass and bits of broken wood. On the far side was this chair. The only thing left in the house. Just sitting there draped in soft light it was art. A moment in a story for anyone to complete. Even though I wasn’t painting at the time I knew that I would paint it some day.
