Inspired by the Group of Seven I followed their route through Algoma last fall. Along my journey I painted some plein air sketches and gathered reference material for the studio much like the Group of Seven did 100 years ago. One of my stops was at Elliot Lake in the early morning just as the fishermen were heading out on journeys of their own.

Peter John Mark Klemm, AFCA
Surrey, British Columbia
Peter finds inspiration in his love of nature and the beauty to be found in the Canadian landscape. The exquisite detail and interplay between light and shadow invites the viewer to enter the scene and for a moment, lose themselves in the beauty and peace of the natural world.
"Art is an expression of one's soul laid out for all to see."
