I was inspired to create Sentinel after hiking a mountainous region in Tumbler Ridge BC called the Shipyard. It is a high elevation trail with a panoramic view. Standing alone on the rockface a short stubby little tree grabbed my attention while it was soaking up the sun. I enjoyed trying to capture the stillness of the sky, with contrast of texture on the tree and rock face.
