About the Artwork
Peaceful, winding walking paths follow the Alouette River through the Pitt Meadows dyke system East of Vancouver, offering respite from busy city lives. I seek out unique places like this to paint; to directly engage with the tranquil energy and rich colour palette of the surrounding landscape, and to translate to the painting, as faithfully as possible, that same sense of quiet wonder.
