This is a scene from our families annual trip to Jackfish lake in Saskatchewan. It's the very end of the beach where the lake becomes an elegant blue sliver and marsh grasses become a chorus of lake birds singing in the bird sanctuary. Fields of canola stretch off into the distance. I walk our dog, here each morning.
