About the Artwork
I have two reference photos of this man from a Powwow in Wetaskiwin, AB. One was before his performance, with his face paint fresh on, and one was after, most of his paint now gone. I wanted to capture the feeling and look of pride after his performance I felt, aptly named 'After the Powwow'.
