About the Artwork
It has not been lost on me that I paint nature with the most unnatural of mediums - acrylic. My concept for this piece was to use this dichotomy to attempt to hover between the chemical and natural. Nature is abstracted with chemical pigment, like our world can be harmed by chemicals in our search for energy, beauty and convenience.
