Phantom of the North
The Great Grey Owl is the largest owl in the world and is the provincial bird of Manitoba. The owl is nicknamed "Phantom of the North" as it silently flies through the night air to catch it's prey.
The owl is "sculpted" from the background painting using a reductive technique so that it demonstrates the silence and mysterious nature of the bird.
Note: Yupo is an inert material that is completely archival. I also use only museum quality materials for framing to ensure longevity.
