About the Artwork
This painting depicts an orca pod travelling into Blackney Passage, just past the Orca Lab which is situated on Hanson Island, off Northern Vancouver Island. Researchers and observers identify and record all orca in the surrounding waters. Hydrophones and underwater cameras allow online viewers from around the world the opportunity to listen and view the passing orca.
