What Did You Call Me
Sometimes it is helpful to find a lighter side to life, and during a pandemic it became even more critical to try and find ways to create lightness in one’s day. I began to experiment more with colour and my brush work and play with capturing the personalities of a number of animals.
If you have ever been around chickens, you can appreciate their dynamic personalities! I’m not a “chicken whisperer,” so I can’t say if they are intentionally trying to be funny. The way they cock their head and the expressiveness in their eyes does facilitate some humorous interpretation.
This piece will not be included in the physical exhibition on Granville Island but meets the quality standards of the FCA and is classified as, "Recognized Artwork."
