About the Artwork
I like to think I paint ideas rather than objects or landscapes. I search for disparate images from my photo files and studio studies until a loose narrative or metaphor piques my interest. Exploring spatial relationships of overlapping images, I focus on the painting the space between objects. Scale, form and realism are secondary visual concerns.
