About the Artwork

Life on Trees is a subject that has been on my mind a lot lately. With the current climate crisis, every creature is affected by the life of the trees. Trees are a source of inspiration, the stability of the forest, a home, protection, and in fact a necessary part of life.
This painting depicts a luna moth resting on a tree. Attention is given to details of light and shadow, showing the very crevices and wrinkles of the bark, hiding places for so many kinds of insects. Brushwork, softening out edges, mark making, detailing lines and shapes, and glazing

In my artwork, I aim to convey the magic of the seasons that invites exploration and reflection. The interplay of light and shadow creates a dance that draws the viewer in, evoking a sense of peace and wonder.
