About the Artwork

Jurying Item #1- "Petit Dejeuner" is a still life I created as a reminder of my artist residence in France where I sat surrounded by the breathtaking mountains and enjoyed an outdoor "breakfast" or "Petit Dejeuner".
While there, I set up many still life future projects which allow me to explore, study and create deeply. I mostly use chiaroscuro lighting because I like how it affects the overall mood of a painting. My still life's are a representation of my world and its important to me to create everything about that world with my own perspective and a high degree of representational accuracy.
