About the Artwork

Oneing
Separateness is
illusion. Becoming One
sets us free to be.

Unification
Le seul Dieu invite
tous à la divinité
et co-création.
Wis/Sag 31:7

Not far from where we were staying, we came upon this magnificent morning light in which the divine is easily recognized.

Des troncs massifs témoignent du pouvoir de la mer et des vagues orageuses. Quel contraste avec la douceur de la lumière matinale qui les caresse.

Karen Blanchet

Edmonton, Alberta

Karen attended Julian Ashton Art School before finishing an Honours French Degree from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia and a Professional A Teaching Certificate from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. In 2016 she helped organize the collective “Devenir”. Her work forms part of collections internationally.

"We live in a fractured world. This chaos is evident in my work. In between the rivulets of paint and the textural accidents I choose colours and forms to suggest a landscape where beauty continues to reign. She is essential to the survival of humanity."
