Make a Wish
Not For Sale
In these difficult times, it’s very important that we don’t lose hope. This painting is about making a wish, believing that things will get better soon. The two hands are clasped together the way one would when making a wish, but it can also be read as two different people holding hands. This is an example of the physical contact that we once had and are now deprived of. Perhaps the person misses the feeling of contact with others so much, something that we have taken for granted in the past, but for now we can only hold our own hands and keep ourselves company. I, along with many others my age might have never imagined that this would affect our lives to this extent, and I found myself missing small things and wishing I had noticed and enjoyed them more at the time.
