About the Artwork
On the northeast edge of the Namibian desert lie the great salt pans of Etosha, After several years of drought, sandstorms have become more frequent and more intense. As this sandstorm starts to pick up, a small group of elephants begins to close ranks to protect the younger members of the family. As they pick up speed in the face of the developing storm, the thunderous sound vibrating through the ground alerts other animals in the area of impending danger.
